Our Expansion
Rio Grande Regional Hospital's expansion represents an investment of over
$65 million dollars. The first phase of the project is a five-story tower added to
the front of the building. The new space will increase the number of patient beds
from 201 to 320, allowing the Hospital to keep pace with the growth of our
community. Immediately following, the entire Hospital will be remodeled. New beds,
fresh paint and wallpaper, more comfortable seating and waiting areas will
complement the latest in technology and equipment. By the Summer of 2004 the
entire project should be completed.
